<p>This sign seems to be celebrating a centenary of some kind. I&#8217;ve not found anything on this in a web search, if I do, then I&#8217;ll update this page. The sign displays the local church, St Lawrence which was originally built by John Curteys around 1380AD. His canopied altar tomb lies between the chancel and south chapel.</p>
<p>Wymington parish is recorded in the Domesday Book (1086), but its history dates back a  little further than this, to 1014.</p>

<p>A relatively new sign, this sits outside the church            of this small village to the east of Bedford, now bypassed by the A422.</p>
<p>No sight of any stags, or their dens, but then that may have been too obvious!</p>
<p>Whilst the bypass was being constructed, an Iron Age and Roman settlement was discovered in the area.</p>
